Aquatech Canadian Water Services is a privately held Canadian corporation established in 2004, specialising in management, operations, and maintenance services for both Water and Wastewater facilities. Aquatech Canadian Water Services is one of the largest privately Canadian operators of Water and Wastewater treatment plants.

We are currently looking for an Operator to join our team in Sparwood BC, Operating a new level 3 package RO treatment plant.

  • Level 3 water treatment and level 2 or higher water distribution certification, additional certification will be considered an asset
  • These positions will be in Sparwood, B.C. Located at an EVR mine site
  • Shift rotation 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

For these specific positions the team members will operate, repair and execute the maintenance on Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment and Collection systems. These sites will include a new Water Plant (membranes), a new WWTP (MBBR), one (1) lift station and an industrial drainage system.

Duties, responsibilities and personal qualities, but are not limited to the following:

  • Be motivated, flexible and a team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Collecting and analysis of samples
  • Process Interpretation and adjustment according to the lab results
  • Be able to complete regular maintenance
  • Calibrate lab equipment and on-line instrumentation
  • Troubleshooting process alarms and responding to callouts if needed
  • Assist Supervisor to compile all the required reports and documents for ECOP and Clients
  • Respond and communicate efficiently to client inquiries and maintain good relations with public, office staff, co-workers, and contractors
  • Have effective organization skills
  • Promote a positive image of
  • Able to complete required on-call rotation
  • Maintain compliance and demonstrate commitment to safety in the workplace

Hours of Work:

The operator position is 14 days on, 14 days off, 10 hours a day, based on the schedule created by the    supervisor. The plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 EOCP or APEA certification
  • Training certificates in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, and TDG
  • Specific training will be provided on-site

Compensation:
