Training Providers & Career Management System (CMS)
Following the EOCP Board Meeting on September 22, 2025, the EOCP now focuses on course reviews through our panel of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The previous application processes for Training Organizations and Instructors have been removed, and all related functions have been integrated into the EOCP CRM.
For assistance with course applications or inquiries about becoming an Instructor or Training Organization, please contact the EOCP Office at eocp@eocp.ca or 604-874-4784.
The CMS
The Career Management System (CMS), accessible through the EOCP Customer Relationship Manager at https://crm.eocp.ca, provides a streamlined process for:
- Individuals with the skills and experience to become Instructors or Training Organizations.
- Submitting courses for EOCP recognition.
Background
Originally known as the Training Registry, the CMS was developed to enable experienced professionals in the water and wastewater industry across BC and Yukon to create short courses for Operators. These courses allow Operators to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Over time, the CMS expanded to handle all Instructor and training-related applications received by EOCP. It now includes tools for:
- Finding and offering EOCP-recognized training.
- Supporting career path development for Operators.
A key feature of the CMS is its Peer Review process, which ensures consistent evaluation of all training opportunities. This is managed by a group of CMS Subject Matter Experts (CMS-SMEs) who review applications and recommend courses for inclusion. This approach guarantees that all courses are assessed by independent experts, promoting consistency and quality across the province.
General Principles of the Career Management System
- Provides a pathway for qualified individuals and organizations to gain acceptance as Instructors and Training Organizations, and to have their courses recognized.
- Enables Operators to find and contact approved Instructors and Training Organizations.
- Displays core and related CEU allocations for all EOCP-recognized courses.
- Operates on a cost-recovery basis, with fees set by the EOCP Board and reviewed periodically to cover administrative, maintenance, and upgrade costs.
