Course Description:
The workshop is an active participation workshop focusing on how to safely manage a dam in accordance with regulatory requirements and best management practices. Content includes practical exercises and review of regulations and available resources. Participants will receive a dam safety management system (DSMS) binder complete with templates and useful resources tailored for owners of small- to medium-sized dams. Demonstration of how to implement the DSMS binder resources will be provided. Opportunity to provide workshop evaluation and feedback for future resource development will be given.
Operators attending this course will earn 0.6 CEUs and Core for WD, WT, and SWS.
